The Karimalis family are on of the oldest families still living on the island of Ikaria, George's family have been making wine on the island for over 500 years.

The original Ikarian wine region of Enoi can be seen just below the Karimalis vineyards when  looking towards Evdilos.  This is where winemaking has its origins and this is mentioned in the Odyssey by Homer.

The family have renovated their family farmhouse, which dates back over 500 years, for guests to stay in whilst they attend the wine and cookery schools.

They have built a new kitchen where people can learn all about wine and mediterranean cookery.  Their home will be your base for all your wine tasting and cookery lessons.
